Julie Stark

Julie started her career in the West End of London, in the Dominion’s We Will Rock You, playing Madonna and extensively covering the roles of Meatloaf and Killer Queen. She has since appeared as Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty (Wakefield), Marion in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (UK and Ireland tour), Florence in Chess (Aberystwyth), Jen’s Mum in Love Story (Duchess, London), Good Fairy in Sleeping Beauty (Tunbridge Wells), Les Miserables (25th Anniversary tour), Marge Perley/cover Jane & Sukie in The Witches of Eastwick (UK tour), Shirley/cover Vonnie in Shout! and Oolie/Donna in City of Angels (English Theatre, Frankfurt).

Julie has appeared in the feature film ‘Les Miserables’, several short films and she regularly narrates audio books for the RNIB. Julie started singing in bands at the age of eighteen and still enjoys this today. She has fronted many soul, disco and funk bands, performed as both Agnetha and Freda in many Abba tributes, rocked huge crowds whilst performing with The Music of Queen, and appeared as a solo artiste at functions, casinos, clubs, restaurants and on the occasional ship.  She has sung all over the UK and has also appeared in America, the Middle East, Mexico, and many European countries. She performed at the 02 in the Les Miserables 25th Anniversary concert, and has backed names such as Kenny Thomas, Thelma Houston and Jaki Graham.  She also sings with ‘Vocally Bespoke’ - a contemporary choir.
